Larry has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. In his
21 years of software development, his responsibilities included leading
the development of two database products, Knowledgeman and Guru. His
background in discrete event simulation was used to model the execution
time of a Windows NT based system that replaced a mainframe. Larry's
simulator predicted that the new system would execute 24 times faster than
the mainframe... and it was right! His extensive insight into the
internals of database engines typically results in database designs that
run 10 to 15 times faster than their predecessors.
Ryan has a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University. After only
6 years in software development, he has a patent pending for a database
design that used data warehousing techniques to accelerate an Inventory
Optimization system. His development strengths are in object oriented
development with C++ on the Windows and Unix platforms.
